Outback Steakhouse must be a shared memory of most of the Hongkongers. A good deal of US steak set with a large potion of green salad, unlimited black-sugar buns and a cup of red soup. On the top of order, a devil dish of cheese fries and another fatty yummy cheese-cake or chocolate cake with a big ball of vanilla ice-cream.

SHORE | HONG KONG
Classical modern is the general image and first impression of Shore to me. Nested in Central's commercial building, it's been a regular gathering place for Happy Hour, and in-the-week dinner place. It's a steak house with a wide international menu and a fine collection of wine; besides it's a bar for one or two glasses of normal cocktail or mixture. I like their low terrace, even it's always a bit too crowded, but at least it's a very easy place to have a small sky among the cold buildings in Central.
If you are looking for something very unique and different, Shore definitely will let you down, but like most of middle-to-high standard steakhouse in Central, it's chic, cool, stable quality and professional service; from the dark brown sofa, the hard-and-soft decoration with silver vase and lily inside, it is not difficult to predict the typical American-Italian dishes in their menu.

LA VACHE! | HONG KONG
It is not the first time I visit La Vache! Yes, I seldom visit the same restaurant in Hong Kong given such a big market and new openings in HK's dining world. Decent quality charged decently with a little special, is my basic rule to criteria a restaurant, and La Vache! wins.
Simple, is their winning point to me, just like ads commercial slogan 'Less is More', besides satisfying the basic human being's desire on feeding, sometimes, to keep everything simple and even take away the choices from your clients, is the best way to satisfy them (especially to those complicated client who's always too struggling to a long list of dishes and drinks, like me :D).

SUNDAY BRUNCH | BLUE BUTCHER | HONG KONG
Blue Butcher Bar & Restaurant, is one of the hottest brunch place in Hong Kong Island since it launched the Sunday brunch with its awarded cocktails and signature burgers. I was there once night with friends, and try a little of their famous steak and lamp chop which have already impressed me a lot. And this Sunday I came back to Blue Butcher again for their hot-picked Sunday Brunch. It is only offered on every Sunday, and with a very thoughtful service of kid playful drawing paper on the table perfectly for a family long weekend, it is always booked out almost 1 month before. The price is the same as another restaurant under the same group, but this one has more focus on red meat and regular salads, plus a raw-style live band performance throughout the whole brunch section, giving a cool and unique brunch experience.

DININGCITY HONG KONG RESTAURANT WEEK | WOOLOOMOOLOO PRIME | HONG KONG
Hong Kong is definitely a dining city, and every foodie in this city won't miss the good chance of Restaurant Week, when most of the fine dining restaurants offer their special tasting menu for lunch and dinner. This year, I picked up two restaurants, one is perfected explored through the first contact and the second invitation by the owner (Read more about Maya Cafe), the other one is introduced here by their Set Lunch Menu.

APPETIZER, STEAK, DESSERT | BISTECCA ITALIAN STEAK HOUSE | HONG KONG
Raw Stone, Butcher, Countryside, Brown Wooden, those words are the first patch jumping into my brain when stepping into Bistecca (belongs to Dining Concepts) . It's nested in the 2nd floor of Lam Kwai Fong, the big dining space is hidden behind one heavy glass & wooden door facing to the narrow lane right before everyone showing up in the lift. Meat (Steak/Beef) and Wine are two main decoration of this slightly raw-style steak house, giving a matched feeling to the causal and relax environment of LKF. I just found that big, outstanding and interesting wall clock, 'QUALITY MEATS'.

友人豪放大請客,友人的友人也不客氣,欽點以澳牛出名的Outback Steakhouse;
