Passion by Gerard Dubois, is like an entrance of a different Wanchai block. Every time pass by the shop with those transparent windows, I have a feeling of walking in a small village. You can consider it as a full-chain of baking products, ranging from European-style breads to French pastries, and during peak lunch time, they also serve simple and healthy lunch set to the nearby office people.
Last night of 2013, still some people stay there for the last peace moment with comfort foods before the party of New Year Eve. The most lovely decoration of the shop is a large bookshelf wall, decorated with those lovely baking books, cheese, pasta...If I have time, I would like to spend the whole lazy afternoon there and reading those books. Open kitchen is kindly of resting by his own, imaging those counter is full of fresh colorful salad vegetables :)
Without double, three chocolate-lovers satisfied so much that night. Picking up new dessert, Chestnut Creme Brulee, the crispy honey-taste layer and chili soft chestnut creme brulee, mixed so well in mouth, and the sugar-marinated chestnut is never too sweet. The best is, you will never feel too much :) Tiramisu is less sweet than normal version, making me feel quite fresh and light, plus the coco powder on the top, a little bitter makes good balance. Chocolate-lover cannot miss the last sweet, the round chocolate 'bomb', Le Chocolat, has simple design, but complex filling. It's smooth chocolate cream, silky chocolate mousse, coco powder. All the stuff melts in the mouth, mixing the pure chocolate and milk chocolate.
