My First Cheesecake

24th of December, Xmas Eve, all important people to me in this half year are moving, while I am staying behind. Bad feeling pushes me towards some strange idea, for example, being a 'Housewife' to make some home-made dessert!!! Never imagine two years' ago, the recipe of Oreo Cheesecake from my dear American friend in Shanghai is now, finally, alive. Luckily, I can find all tools and materials in my place, except buy some fresh stuff on my way home from work :)

  • 1 package of Oreo (I just wanna buy 2, 1 for cheesecake, 1 for just eating...)
  • 3 packages of cream cheese
  • 70g butter
  • 90g sugar
(I just found potion in recipe cannot be trusted in terms of how big the cake you are making, especially for the people without any experience like me, I even cannot decide the size of cake... so it's just intuition.)

Oreo custard, made by half package of oreo and butter. Melt butter with any heated stuff, microwave? pan? Do what you wanna do... me? just use microwave and make a loud sound and little 'butter volcano effect' :) Crash, squeeze, beat, and then mix those little pieces of oreo with melted butter, put into flat pan (better to use professional dessert-making pan). I know... it looks really disgusting... remember to put them into fridge.

My favorite part is making this creamy cheesecake with cream cheese! Leave cream cheese in room temperature till it turns soft enough. And pour them in big bowl with sugar and Oreo cripes, again beat and whisk, before pour it onto the frozen Oreo custard, try, and maybe add more sugar :)

Pour onto the custard, and decorate with the remaining Oreo on the top. After one night (actually I went to Xmas Eve party that night, and went to bed on next morning around 7... when I got up, it's already 1.5 night), I have this creamy cute Oreo Cheesecake. To be honest, it tastes really good, quite balance in sweet and sour, really creamy and thick taste! But, I think there's something wrong when I was making Oreo custard or it was being frozen, coz it's just stick on the pan and soooooo hard to make it off... Oops can I ignore this little failure?

Just find this maybe good for anyone want to make some sweets!
