It's quite a typical Eastern American style place, with a casual & sportif atmosphere. Just as its over-sized American dishes and desserts, the restaurant is quite spacial, meanwhile enjoying a open & modern view of Element's roof (Civic Square). Bronze and Ironic color fills up the two-floor restaurant which offers a slightly crowded bar and casual dining area upstairs. Belonging to Eclipse Hospitality Group, they serve not only modern & popular American foods like burger and grills, but Mexico tacos, seafood & pasta; of course, a rich selection of alcohols, almost occupies half of the evening menu. Some special combination set is really recommended, especially the GC Classic Burger with 8oz prime beef, bacon, double jack cheddar with hand-cut French fires, with one floral & honey taste bottled beer, quite good deal :)

典型的美式現代餐廳,環境輕鬆略帶動感;餐廳位於圓方3樓天台(Civic Square)夜晚的可坐擁“火樹銀花”的開放景緻,一邊大口朵頤美式特色的大份美食與甜品,一邊與朋友聊天看球賽,絕對是消磨週末的好選擇。餐廳的裝修以淘金熱那陣子的銅與鐵為主題,兩層樓的餐廳底下是稍顯擁擠的美式酒吧,上層則是就餐區。同屬 Eclipse 集團,GRAND CENTRAL 主打美式東海岸城市中最常見的“至肥”美式,也有墨西哥NACHOS (玉米片),海鮮及意粉等,置於酒類,數量也不少,足足佔據半張晚市菜單。推薦特色COMBO 的GC 經典漢堡配一樽口味略甜的啤酒,漢堡由8盎司的牛肉餅、煙肉、車打芝士“堆砌”,美味又抵食。

CRABBE'S ALCOHOL GINGER BEER, UK [4%]

Recommended drinks (alcohol & non-alcohol), for the milkshake, it's fat but attractively yummy for the perfect iced taste of a balance of thick & thin texture, very sweet mixed with chocolate, light cream and syrup, paired with fat-family (fries, burger, nachos), awesome! For the craft beer, interesting and girl-welcome taste, honey sweet plus ginger spicy (very little) and a little lime fresh.

(white wine cream sauce, garlic toast)


BUFFALO CHICKEN WINGS
(blue cheese dip, celery sticks)

Two starters are just with normal quality and from the picture, you can see the general style of American dishes, in terms of presentation. I won't recommend mussels coz it's just simply cooked with creamy sauce in a light texture and the mussels are fresh but small. Buffalo chicken wing is good, covered by very rich sauces, while strangely, I love the celery dipped with little sour cream sauce a lot, just love the crispy and juicy moment when giving a bit, and the rich & slowly-melting feeling of sour cream in my mouth.


CHEESE NACHOS

It's really colorful dish, just like the hot sexy regions of South American. A combination of different corn flakes which is super crispy but plain in taste. The cheese is much more important thus to give a salty & cheesy and 'sticky' experience, with some avocado mash, the texture overall is a 'mass' in the mouth. But in general, it's not savory and spicy enough as my experience toward Nachos, so a little disappointed.


THE GC CLASSIC BURGER
(8oz prime beef, bacon, double jack cheddar, relish)

Classic American-style burger never let you down (if the restaurant really means it!). They use 8oz prime beef to make the main & most important part, but actually every layer of this burger is so nice! The bun, fluffy & soft; the bacon, greasy & savory salty & chewy; the cheese, super rich with slightly sour taste, well matched with meat & oil from bacon and beef. Even cut into 4 blocks, every girl can have a satisfying bite, and with fresh & juicy sides, you won't get too much greasy feel.


CHOCOLATE FONDANT CAKE
(vanilla bean ice cream, chocolate shavings)


RED WINE, RIBENA AND CINNAMON, POACHED PEAR
(mascarpone foam, toasted almonds)

Two desserts as the closing items of this great American dinner, I prefer chocolate fondant to the sour-taste pear dessert. For the fondant, they don't mean the melting effect when you cut from the middle of the cake; the hot chocolate & better in the centre is in a semi-texture, with rich taste and not too sweet, and the cake around is very good, crispy on the surface, fluffy in the middle, a little humid close to the centre :)
