APPETIZER, STEAK, DESSERT | BISTECCA ITALIAN STEAK HOUSE | HONG KONG


Raw Stone, Butcher, Countryside, Brown Wooden, those words are the first patch jumping into my brain when stepping into Bistecca (belongs to Dining Concepts. It's nested in the 2nd floor of Lam Kwai Fong, the big dining space is hidden behind one heavy glass & wooden door facing to the narrow lane right before everyone showing up in the lift. Meat (Steak/Beef) and Wine are two main decoration of this slightly raw-style steak house, giving a matched feeling to the causal and relax environment of LKF. I just found that big, outstanding and interesting wall clock, 'QUALITY MEATS'. 



They have lovely semi-open kitchen, which you can find some fire there sometimes. Quite big dining space with Appetizer Area, which is already fully covered. Two blocks separated by glass wall, one side for enjoying the whole day sun shine, the other side for the quiet and more private atmosphere.


Pick up seats (better make reservation in advance), enjoying the different view of LKF downstairs (LKF is sleeping in daytime - -|||), and it seems LKF already starts to welcome Valentino Day with big pink heart in the air :) 

Bistecca servers Semi-Buffet Lunch Set all the week, from 12nn to 3pm around, offering grilled vegetables, potato, beef and chicken, some are newly created by the concept from Asian Cuisine, for example Grapefruit Salad with Grilled Shrimp.


Of course, you can choose nothing except the Appetizer+Dessert Lunch Set, or two girls can share one Steak Set. 12oz Steak (SIRLOIN | RIBEYE | SKIRT STEAK). Prefer raw & chewy texture like me? I recommend SIRLOIN and Medium Rare / Rare. Actually it's not so rough as I expect, but it's perfectly done to be juicy and semi-firm, soft and chewy in the middle, slightly crispy with grilled sweet taste of outside layer. Yummy Yummy :)

For sour & sweet people, you can dip some sauce, but I don't quite recommend to do that, coz it is too strong flavor to cover the original taste; on opposite, I think a little crystal salt is ok for just lighting up your tongue. 


For the dessert table, it's typical Italian sweets. Chocolate Milk Pudding, Cheesecake and Chocolate Loaf are the top three recommendation from me. All are made in perfect texture and taste, not too much not less, with plain presentation but authentic flavor! Pistachio & White Chocolate Cake is the most beautiful dessert that day, while maybe it's served without any warming up process to be fit into room temperature, the white chocolate is a little dry and sponge cake is kind of over-frozen.
