Gelato & Italian Breakfast - Nico's

Always rested in Central, I have rare chance to check out so many restaurants just one or two streets away from me. Finally, I start to little journal in SoHo for some space for girls gossip. Fine afternoon, or say late afternoon, narrowly step the last minutes of Weekend Brunch ordering time, we put ourselves nested in Nico's Spuntino Bar + Restaurant, belongs to Staunton's Group.

It's a quite relax place for food, drink and chatting. The barrels aligned along the street and big counter full of color Gelato, are two eye-catching spots for me. If you only want some beers, you can just lazily sit along the bench, facing to SOHO's typical 'busy & noisy' crowds. If you are like me, with some friends, it's better to sit inside, coz they do offer a quite big space for dining atmosphere, and even a mini kids-playground, which can release their 'poor' parents to enjoy a good meal.

You must admit, eyes always get satisfied before tongue and stomach!!! Here's their lovely Gelato counter. Those iced devil looks so yummy, creamy, and chili :)
And, within the Weekend Brunch menu, you can just add extra $20 to enjoy one scoop with any flavor they are offering that day. Lychee was my choice that afternoon, for just fresh cool experience, it didn't let me down.

  • Italian Breakfast

It's a kind of misunderstanding towards this breakfast set, coz my friend is really a fan of British All-Day-Breakfast, which is quite big meal stuff. Dried Fruit with Cereal, Greek Yogurt, Sweet Pear, Croissant, Scone & Muffin, Butter, Raspberry & Cherry Jam. Croissant is in quite good quality, but it'll be perfect if it's fresh warm; while muffin is too greasy and scone is just plain but too much rosemary-taste.

  • Scrambled Egg with Spinach

Simple egg cuisine, of course you can choose your favorite cooking way for the eggs, and spinach is one of the side dishes you can choose, I remember they have salmon or whatever. To say, I'm quite satisfied to the eggs. Quite good combination of oil and egg white, to make it gently soft. For the taste, I prefer some black pepper as dressing, while spinach is tasty enough with quite soften and little mashed, with that Italian Bread Crumb, not bad.

End up the last relax afternoon of the whole week with a cute cup of latte with 'heart', sometimes we need to think nothing, and just enjoy the bosh-it to release ourselves.
