Very
nice city, people, buildings and cultures in Brussels (Bruxelles). It
is a French-speaking city with convenient public transpiration
systems, plus the sightseeing places are compact in the old town
area, which is reachable in walking distance, especially in a find
weather, to walk around in the old cities and in those cute little
lanes is the best way to explore Brussels.
MUST-CHECK-POINTS
>
Grand’
Place (Grote Markt) where a typical concentration of tourism sightseeing spots, eg.
Hotel de Ville, Manneken-Pis, Maison du Roi, and a lot of cross-over
lanes to the different directions full of restaurants/Belgium cafes
or chocolate souvenir shops. You don’t need to sit down for a
serious meal if time is limited, coz walking around the area, you
just cannot stop to buy bunches of handmade chocolates, Belgium
Fudges, candies (handmade chocolate counted by grams, normally
3.2-3.6 euro / 100 grams, and some shops don’t have minimum
purchase weight, so you gonna grab 4-5 pieces as your favorite
flavors in really small amount of money, for me, I just spent 1.4
euro for 4pcs, which are super delicious!), and waffle shops are
concentrated around Manneken-Pis (2 euro in average for waffle with
sauce and 4-5 euro to add up with fruits and cream).
Gare
Centraal (Metro station) is located in the middle of all sightseeings
of Brussels, and Grand Place is in the west of it, Place du Grand
Sablon (Jardin du Petit Sablon, the sculptures of great people),
Musees Royaux des Beaux-Arts, and Palais de Justice are in the south
of metro station. I strongly recommend to walk this way till Palais
de Justice, which you gonna reach it by a glass transparent lift to
the upper level, cross the ironic bridge while enjoying the street
artist/musician, and finally WOW about the great buildings and enjoy
the view of Brussels city. To the northeast, you cannot miss the
great attractions, Place Royale, Palais Royal, and Parc de Bruxelles,
Cathedrale Sts-Michel-et-Gudule. And try to grab the chips from the
pop-up snacks car, or sandwiches in the plaza, right down the sun and
blue sky, I even cannot open the eyes.
