One of my favorite places I have been in Europe and it even makes me fall in love with Belgium so deep. The typical medieval city on the north-west of Brussels and only takes you 1/1.5-hour train there. And you will find how famous it is just by the over-crowded train situation. The whole main city remains the old-time image with windmill on the corner, beside the city wall. Crossing the bridge and passing through the guided tower connected with the city wall, the stone road will lead you to the center square of the city and on the way, you will find beautiful middle-age houses with the sharp roofs one by one, the breath-taking image of little canals, stone bridges, greens along the canals, and the relaxing people seated in the cafes.
If you are the same as me, loving being lazy in the square, enjoying sunbathing, and the street music flowing in the open air. Lovely day, there're always carnival in the square. In Brugge, it's a small scale of food and local hand craft market formed with many booths. The fried donuts in shape of big golden balls are new stuff to me; freshly made as your order and covered with snowy sugar on the top. Have one (7pcs) and it can cost you even one hour to finish it, and maybe skip dinner directly for small-stomach girls!!!
Buildings all around the town is one part, the other part so attractive to me is the atmosphere formed by people there. Walking in the town, you will never miss those little beautiful boutiques, especially those hand-made chocolate shops. There are packages easier for souvenir, but I prefer to select directly from counter. So many flavors displayed in front of you, and not restricted in chocolates, you can also find caramel candies which are also famous sweets in Belgium. The shop of lace clothes, cushion, kitchen cotton stuff is another tourist-caught place.
